Forget the wives tales, Heres the Facts!

Here is a list of the most common timbers in our region and their relative heat and density properties.

This list below shows that box timbers are far more efficient and dense.

 

 

Green firewood only gives off about 40% the heat of seasoned timber.

Thats over half of the heat up in smoke!

 

River Redgum is the most abuntent in our region but is not the best timber available.

It is much lighter which is why most suppliers sell it by cubic meter, scoop or trailer.

lower weight + less heat = paying to much

Many part time suppliers run out of stock around June.

We mantain seasoned firewood right through the entire season.
